Wound Care

In addition to basic wound care therapy, we also offer:

Vaccum Assisted Closure System

Vaccum Assisted Closure System is known as negative pressure wound therapy. It is intended to create an environment that promotes wound healing by preparing the wound bed for closure, reducing edema, promoting granulation tissue formation and perfusion, and removing exudate and infectious material. It is indicated for patients with chronic, acute, traumatic, subacute, and dehisced wounds, partial thickness burns, ulcers, skin flaps, and grafts.

Medical Maggot Therapy

Medical maggot, debridement therapy is the controlled, therapeutic use of medical grade maggots for the treatment of chronic skin and soft tissue wounds. Total Contact Casting

Total Contact Casting is a specially designed cast designed to take the weight off the foot in patients with diabetic foot ulcers. Reducing the pressure on the wound by taking the weight off the foot has proven to be very effective in DFU treatment. 85% of lower extremity amputations are preceded by a DFU. Furthermore, the 5 year post amputation mortality rate is estimated at 45% for patients with neuropathic DFUs.
