Clara Barton Medical Center is pleased to announce that Amanda (Mandy) Hoffman, Director of Pharmacy has been promoted to the position of Vice President/Chief Operating Officer as current Vice President/Chief Nursing Officer, Jane Schepmann, plans to retire. After graduating from the pharmacy program, Hoffman moved to Central Kansas with her husband Eric, who is originally from the Hoisington area. Prior to working full-time at Clara Barton Medical Center, Hoffman worked in both the hospital and retail pharmacy setting and also covered for the Clara Barton Medical Center Pharmacy on a PRN-basis. “I understand how vital our organization is, keeping quality healthcare close to home, and I am very excited to be taking on this new role at Clara Barton Medical Center,” said Hoffman. “I have sincerely enjoyed working alongside our remarkable staff and I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as Vice President and continue to build on our organization’s successes.” Hoffman and her husband Eric live in Great Bend, KS and have three daughters Macy, Lexan, and Breckyn. “It is a great honor to announce Mandy as our Vice President and Chief Operating Officer,” said Jim Blackwell, Clara Barton Hospital President/CEO. “Her clinical abilities, coupled with a proven managerial approach with our ancillary departments, made her the obvious selection. We are excited to have her voice represented as a senior leader, while maintaining her current pharmacy duties. This alignment will help ensure that our strategic direction will protect the strong culture of customer service our patients have come to know and trust.”
