Clara Barton Hospital to Host Annual Holiday Food Drive

 Dec 3, 2019

The holidays can often be tough for those that have fallen on hard times, but in effort to help those that need a little extra boost this holiday season, Clara Barton Hospital and Clinics has partnered with the Hoisington Food Bank for their annual Holiday Food Drive. The staff at Clara Barton would like to invite community members to join in on their efforts and help stock the shelves at the local food bank. The Holiday Food Drive will take place from Monday, December 9th through Friday, December 13th. Those who wish to participate can bring their donations to the front desk at Clara Barton Hospital during business hours.

The Hoisington Food Bank not only supplies food to those in need, but they also help supply basics such as personal hygiene products and other daily essentials. Clara Barton Hospital has worked together with the Hoisington Food Bank to come up with a list of requested items that they are in need of, especially during the holiday season.

“We are always proud to be involved throughout the community, but our Annual Food Drive gives us the opportunity to do something a little extra special for those in need, especially during the holiday season” said Sydney Rugan, Director of Public Relations at Clara Barton Hospital. “It’s the season of giving and we’re hoping the community will join our efforts to stock the shelves of the Food Bank.”

While the food bank appreciates all donations, they do have an overabundance of boxed desserts, canned beans, and canned corn.

“We are continually working to improve the health and wellbeing of our community, and this is one small way we are able to help those in need this holiday season,” said Rugan.
